In reference to the Kentucky state motto, "United We Stand, Divided We Fall" the KMAC Museum Triennial: Divided We Fall exhibition connects concerns relevant to our geographic region with issues that define the larger national narrative, recalling how our landscape can be a site of conflict and resistance, as well as a place of unity and mutual respect. This Triennial brings together artists who represent our diverse regional culture and demonstrate how art can help us work through some of the more divisive aspects of society.

I was challenged to come up with a design for the exhibition that would both acknowledge the hardships of the commonwealth as well as represent how as a country we aspire to be better together. The angled letters are supposed to symbolize upward mobility and the falling stripes are a reflection of the troubles our region has faced.
